Access to Full-Service Meeting and Event Resources Means Limitless Potential to Grow Business

BOCA RATON, Fla. / ATLANTA (Feb. 24, 2021) – The Etherio Group has created an unparalleled opportunity for hospitality sales professionals to combine their talents for building client relationships with the full-service resources of the industry’s most creative minds and trusted partners. Etherio Group is empowering its account executives with a powerful new way to sell and build their own business.

Led by industry veteran Michael Shannon, CMP HMCC, Etherio Group’s Account Executives are a team of talented sales professionals empowered to meet all of their clients’ needs with start-to-finish solutions. Whether sourcing a venue or executing a full-service event in partnership with other divisions of Etherio Group—MeetingAdvice (Etherio Meetings & Events), Global Meetings & Incentives (Etherio Life Sciences), Etherio Incentives—these account executives are equipped with a depth of resources they can use to exceed expectations every step of the way.

“Our account executives have developed deep client relationships and industry expertise throughout their careers,” says Shannon, vice president of sales and strategy, Etherio Group. “Now, they have the opportunity to create their own futures by expanding the range of services they provide, carving out their own futures in the field with Etherio Group’s infrastructure and client-centric culture behind them.”

Adds Shannon, “We provide our account executives with all the tools to be successful. They have access to Etherio Group’s technology and administrative support, including a CRM platform and the Cvent platform for sourcing. We handle all of the back-end and administrative responsibilities so they can focus on their relationships, building and growing their business.”

The account executives of Etherio Group work as an extension of their clients’ organizations, offering a range of services from sourcing, on-site support, registration management and transportation to audio-visual integration management, virtual and hybrid events, post-meeting financial reviews and reconciliation, and attendee follow-up.

“Etherio Group has brought together a synergistic collection of existing companies with individual expertise focusing on corporate clients, life sciences, associations, incentives and site selection. What we can accomplish together, particularly for account executives joining our Etherio Group team to build their own business, is truly exciting,” says Shannon. “The corporate meeting and event industry looks different today, but whether they are held in person, virtually or a hybrid of the two, meetings are still a vital component of business. There are many gifted sales professionals who are now looking for that next step in their career, and we can give them the opportunity to build their own portfolio while creating the ultimate work-life balance model for themselves.”

Shannon’s illustrious career gives him keen insight into the value of client relationships and the importance of a can-do attitude in the hospitality industry. Over the last 35 years, he has held a variety of positions in hotel operations, sales and marketing including stints at Business Events Canada, MGM Resorts International, Westin Hotels & Resorts and the Los Angeles Convention & Visitors Bureau as well as 10 years with a full service meeting, event planning and sourcing company.

Now, Shannon is part of an Etherio Group team led by president and CEO Eric J. Altschul and including industry leaders Steve Goodman, managing partner of MeetingAdvice; Eli Sananes, president of Global Meetings & Incentives; and Katie Harvill, vice president of Etherio Incentives.
