Deborah Grant
International Liaison, Editor-At-Large
Deborah produces Insight Magazine, a quarterly digital publication for members of the Oracle Applications & Technology Users Group (OATUG). She promotes the organization and recruits non-members by sharing selected premium content that resonates with the audience. She also builds relationships with the organization’s international members to help expand their global reach.
She received her B.A. from the International Christian University in Tokyo and studied for two years in Princeton University’s East Asian Studies Ph.D. program, leaving to start her media company in Los Angeles. Deborah has volunteered at The United Way in Atlanta and the Boys & Girls Club of Venice, California. She has also served on the board of directors for The International Charter Academy of Georgia.
At age four, Deborah became famous for sneaking out early in the morning to visit her Japanese neighbors’ homes uninvited. She would often be found happily devouring her preferred breakfast (salted salmon, rice, pickled plum, seaweed, and miso soup) with her bemused Japanese hosts looking on.
